Congleton Town travel to Lancashire for the second time in a matter of days as they prepare to lock horns with Barnoldswick Town on Tuesday evening.

A win will see The Bears climb up to sixth place in the NWCFL Premier Division, extending their unbeaten run to an impressive eight games.

Last time out, Richard Duffy’s side had to settle for a point against Padiham. Arron Johns’ second half header cancelled out Kieran Sherlock’s early opener to share the spoils.

Tuesday night’s encounter will be Congleton’s third game in six days as they endure a busy schedule ahead of their crunch FA Vase semi-final clash with Newport Pagnell Town on April 1st.

Congleton and Barnoldswick are yet to meet in this campaign with December’s scheduled meeting postponed due to weather purposes.

The two sides will face each other twice in the coming weeks with Congleton eyeing up a strong end to their league campaign, with a play-off place still up for grabs.

Contrary to Congleton, Barnoldswick have endured a tough spell of results. Andy Harrison’s side have only picked up one point in their last six outings.

Be sure to travel up to the Silentnight Stadium to cheer on the boys in a bid to extend their impressive unbeaten streak.
