Congleton Town travel to Ashton Athletic as The Bears return to league action following their Cheshire Senior Cup triumph against Stalybridge Celtic on Tuesday.

The Bears secured a 1-0 victory over the Northern Premier League side courtesy of a second half Ethan Hartshorn goal, setting up a semi-final tie against League Two outfit Crewe Alexandra.

In a bid to extend their impressive run of form with four wins and a draw in their last six games, The Bears will hope to be victorious against bottom of the league Ashton Athletic on Saturday.

The Yellow’s have lost their last three games, failing to score in either them. However, a 2-0 victory away at AFC Liverpool last month shows that they have enough quality to hurt any team in this league.

Earlier this season when the two sides met, Congleton produced a dominant 4-0 display over their counterparts which saw a Tom Pope bace, Darren Chadwick penalty and an Aaron Johns second half goal.

The Bears went 3-0 up within the opening fifteen minutes in which proved a dominant display for the hosts.

Be sure to get yourself down to Brocstedes Park on Saturday to support the boys as they continue to jump places in the North West Counties Premier Division.

Come on you Bears!
