Richard Duffy’s in form Congleton side will welcome Lower Breck to the Cleric Stadium as the Bears return to Macron Cup action this Saturday.

A week on from securing their place in the FA Vase last 16, Duffy will be hoping his team can continue their impressive run of form in which the Bears have failed to drop a point in the league since their trip to Kendal in late November.

Congleton face a Lower Breck side that are unbeaten in the league since the turn of the year courtesy of a couple of draws and a 3-1 victory against Squires Gate last weekend.

The two sides met towards the end of October with Congleton edging the Merseyside team 2-1, thanks to first half goals from Darren Chadwick and Aaron Johns.

Congleton comfortably saw off Pinchbeck United last weekend in the FA Vase, further highlighting the immense confidence brimming around the squad.

When asked about the feel good factor within his side, Manager Richard Duffy said:

“The boys have got the aura now when they go out on the pitch of ‘you’ve got to beat us’ and no one has been able to beat us at home yet so that’s a proud record to hold.”

Make sure to get yourself down to the Cleric Stadium to support the boys as they look to cement their place in the next round of the Macron Cup.

Come on you Bears!
