Congleton Town will be looking to win their third consecutive league match when they welcome Kendal Town to the Cleric Stadium on Tuesday.

The two sides will lock horns once more after this game as The Bears will travel to Cumbria for a Macron Cup semi-final clash.

Richard Duffy’s side come into Tuesday’s game in a great vein of form with only one loss in their last eleven outings.

Most recently, Congleton defeated Ashton Athletic courtesy of a George Sankey brace and a second-half strike by Aaron Johns.

Richard Duffy: “I thought our two wingers were great [on Saturday], not back to their best but anywhere near that they’re going to be a handful. I though George started really well, the second half I thought he was different class.

“As for AJ, unlucky not to get a few more goals but all in all everyone played their part, but them two especially.”

The Bears will be looking for revenge against Tuesday’s opposition after Darren Chadwick’s late goal was not enough to bring a result back from Kendal in November.

Richard Duffy: “Another tough game”

Speaking after Congleton’s victory against Ashton Athletic on Saturday, Richard Duffy addressed that Kendal will provide The Bears another tough task, but one Duffy’s confident his side can win:

“Another tough game on Tuesday, but one we can win, and if we do, we will start climbing the league.”

Be sure to come down to the Cleric Stadium on Tuesday to cheer the lads on as they look to maintain this fine run of form.

Kick off: 20:00

Come on you Bears!
