FA Vase semi-finalists Congleton Town will travel to the Anfield Sports and Community Centre where they will face Lower Breck in a NWCFL Premier Division clash.

The Bears come into the game off the back of a historic weekend, securing their status in this year’s FA Vase final four and are now only 90 minutes from the small matter of playing at Wembley Stadium.

Lewis Short’s decisive penalty ignited scenes of jubilation at the Cleric Stadium as Congleton will now prepare for the visit of Newport Pagnell Town, the current holders of the FA Vase.

But all attention will return to the league as Lower Breck will look to dampen the spirits of Richard Duffy’s side.

The two sides met in October at the Cleric Stadium where first-half strikes from Darren Chadwick and Aaron Johns secured all three points for The Bears.

They also met in the third round of the Macron Cup which saw Tom Hampton’s last-minute header send a rotated Congleton Town side through to the quarter-final.

Lower Breck come into the game having endured a mix bag of results in recent weeks. From the highs of defeating Charnock Richard 3-0 to the lows of conceding six to Vauxhall Motors.

The Anfield side, like every team however, will look to finish the NWCFL 22/23 season on a positive note, making tonight’s game no simple task for The Bears.

An exciting end to a wonderful season awaits Congleton Town who not only have their eyes on places they aim to climb in the league, they remarkably have three semi-finals on the horizon in the FA Vase, Cheshire Senior Cup and the Macron Cup.

Be sure to attend as many games as you can, home and away, to give these lads the support they have deserved on their march to more history, more memories and hopefully some silverware.

Come on you Bears!
