Less than 48 hours on from their victory against Lower Breck, Congleton Town make the trip to Padiham this afternoon in a bid to extend their unbeaten run to seven games.

Ethan Hartshorn’s last minute header gave the Bears all three points in Liverpool on Thursday after Dan Needham’s first-half strike cancelled out Lower Breck’s early opener.

Including their penalty shootout win against Bury last weekend, The Bears have won their last six games, and haven’t dropped points since their meeting with Prestwich Heys last month.

As for Padiham, the Lancashire side have won twice in their last six games leaving them sat in 10th place in the NWCFL Premier Division table.

However in this fixture, it’s Padiham who hold the bragging rights after defeating The Bears 2-1 at the Cleric Stadium earlier this year.

A late goal from Tom Hampton wasn’t enough to claw back a two-goal deficit.

The Bears will be looking for a more favourable result this afternoon as they continue their march up the league, ahead of three huge semi-final matches on the horizon.

Be sure to get yourself up to the Arbories Memorial Sports Ground this afternoon to cheer the lads on as we look to continue this immense run of form.

Come on you Bears!
